1st impressions: WOW, really precise and crisp.

Solid as a rock at terminal velocity
Can't elaborate further on that here...
I'll be re-torquing all conections tomorrow after a well earned nights sleep.
Edit: Sorry guys, don't know why pix got nuked. Have to use thumbnail

Light Machining of R56 Trailing Arms
No rocket science to it. I'd call this a bolt on w/light mods.
Bottem line is it is do-able, reletively affordable and very trick.
With parts, labor and shop time it came in well under $1K

Sure is purdy!
he says in a "Deliverance" like voice!
Glad to see it all came together. But isn't hindsight great? OF COURSE it's a simple bolt-on, in retrospect!
good job, and thanks for sharing!

R56 Trailing Arm retro-fit Review
Post #140 highlights the "light machining and resurfacing" necessary to mate the arms to an R53.
To the best of my knowledge it does not matter what year your R53 is.
You will be replacing everything from the mounting points.
None of your exsisting hardware is compatable with the R56 arms.
You will need all mounting hardware, fasteners and brackets.
Once you have all the hardware in hand and the machining done it's a basic R&R task + alignment.
Feel free to PM me with questions about the install or recomendations on where to buy and where to install.
Thanks to all for your support.
