KW vs H&R Coilover Setup

Hello
Which your opinion on Coilover KW V1 and the H&R?
I only go to lower my MINI in 20mm and is for Street use. I want a Lighter and comfortable Setup, which is the best choice?

I related to these two brands (KW and H&R), therefore they are my favourites. But for the characteristics that I want (Lighter and Comfortable), if you know a brand more indicated please let me know. I am thankful.

I wait your opinions.

Note: only want a kit with ride height regulation.

Best Regards

H&R are monotubes, and more sporty. Demping is much stiffer.

KW are twintubes, softer demping, more comfortable.

Here is a picture of the H&R's on their HIGHEST setting. Ride quality is great though, would just prefer more adjustability on the high side. -Sean

I have the H&R wich are height-adjustable and they ride more comfortable than stock. I can't compare to other coilovers though.

Hello
Thanks for the reply´s.

The majority uses H&R Coilover.
The opinions are divided in what it respects to the quality of rolling. Somebody has more opinions of KW V1 quality?

Thanks for the photograph, your car sre spectacular, Congratulations .
If somebody he will have photographs was thankful.

I had an original set of H&R coil overs with a custom ddapter sleeve (so the front woudl ride at a respectable height) on my 02 MCS. Many who drove the car, friends and a slew of dealership people, stated it was the best riding/handling Mini they had ever been in.

i will post up some pics when i can

If you only want to change ride height, why not just get springs that have the drop you want? It'll save you $ for other mods.

Because they won't drop it low enough.

a car dropped on springs will never look as good as a car dropped on coils..

1) He never said how low he wanted it.

2) A drop is a drop, coils or not. I guess you have to have coils if you want the mAd tyte drop, yo.

KW V1's here

Ride is alittle more harsh than stock, but not much. I also have an H-sport rear sway on full stiff though, so I'm not sure how it rides with just coils.

I love em

and I know, I was talking about how stiff the ride is with the sway. He said he wants a lighter/comfortable ride.

honky...how much drop you got there, what setting on there? Looks pretty slammed, how it ride that way, i hear they ride soft but handle great, i can't wait...just wanted to get some ideas as to which way to adjust them but i guess i'll just go full soft and work my way up from there until i get the desired ride.

I'm pretty damn low, my front tires rub on hard turns, and my front lip(the guard underneath) scrapes on everything. I know alot of people think it's stupid to drive that low, but that's the style I like. Plus, the reason I got coilovers was for height adjustment anyways, so when I go to the track or auto-cross, I raise it back up.

My ride is alittle rough being how low it is, and the rear sway on full stiff doesn't help either, but I've been in other lowered cars that ran way shittier than mine.
