Suspension Texas Speedwerks Springs... launch!
I am thinking exactly along those lines. I figure for now I'd like springs to close the wheel gap a bit and give me a little better handling, but I don't need a huge drop. I want performance, and I'm not sure I buy into the progressive rate thing. Plus like you say with springs that have more drop, now you're getting into shocks/struts, so at that point I may as well do coilovers...which I am not ready for at this point.
Well said. I just added some chassis bracing and some sticky Kumho tires and I have to tell you, the car feels like a whole new animal. The springs and the sway bar are a great way to start!!!



Here are some fresh pics since the install of the tires. I figured I would brighten Otis up with some red lug covers to match the tow hook. I love the stance on this guy and the performance increase from the wider tires is night and day over the previous rubber!
My previous car was an 06 MC with sport suspension.I loved the way that car felt invincible in cornering and stability.
What chasis bracing did you do?
What's the size of the kumho's?

hello all....got my TSW springs the other day and man are they huge compared to the stock springs. I am a complete novice when it comes to mod work so please bear w/ me. Does anyone have any pix of the springs themselves on the car. The instructions supplied w/ the springs are minimal so I need some bearing. I will be installing these myself w/ the exception of installing the springs on the struts themselves. Will have my mechanic do that since I do not want to have to guess on springs seating proper. The rear springs I would assume are the large diameter spring w/ the front being the more slender ones. Which way do they install w/ the larger opening on top?. I will be starting w/ the rears first and then to front. I have read all the posts concerning installs and am pretty confident I can do this w/ a little sweat and trepidation. Got to get wet sometime. Any tips concerning this operation to make sure the patient comes thru all right....thanks to all for input MCS06

Larger part of the coil goes upwards toward the upper spring seats. The rears are a piece of cake..the fronts take some work. look for some write-ups on NAM there is one good one for sure:https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...//ppuser/37480

Just finished installing these springs on my 06 MCS, I'm having a bit of a problem. My setup uses TSW springs, Koni Yellows, and Ireland adjustable camber plates. Prior to the TSW springs, I've used both OEM springs and the Koni sport springs both springs seemed to allow for just a bit over 2 deg of camber after a little work with a hammer. Having just installed the TSW springs, the springs are contacting the strut towers at much less camber than before. Measuring from my old adjustment mark on the camber plate, I've lost an honest 1/2" of negative camber adjustment on the camber plate.
It looks like due to the clocking of the beehive design, if the spring was rotated 180 deg it would allow for more camber (although rotating the lower spring perch 180 degrees has it's own interference issues...). OR
If I installed the spring upside down (tried this, spring won't seat properly into the upper mount) I can get all the camber I want too.....
Any ideas?

TSW spring install - rear bump stops
I just started my install of the TSW V3 springs. As I understand it, the stock bump stops should be cut 0.5" when installing front TSW springs. Is this recommended for the rear springs also?

Quick question for those running the TSX with Koni Yellow - what is the consensus on rear shock setting? this is 90% street 10% Auto-X

I trimmed all four bump stops during my install a week ago. I set the KONI Yellow rears to 1 1/8 turns from full soft. Fronts were set to 1 1/2 turns from full soft.
So far I like it. Firmer ride, but nice.
The biggest payback is on the freeway. The TSW springs really help mute the MN road seams and pothole patches. The ride is a bit harsh at 30 mph and less, but not bone jarring.
The cornering is fantastic!
The DINAN/Eibach springs I removed in the rear showed that the top two coils had been rubbing. That explained the noise I was hearing all winter. Not good behavior after 1 year of use. :(
