Suspension Megan/Pilo Coilover help appreciated today
Megan/Pilo Coilover help appreciated today
Where do the two holes need to be drilled or cut in the rear of the body to access damper adjustment? I purchased these straight from Megan; no instructions regarding this location. The units are installed and are riding fine for the street. This adjustment will more than like not work for the track.
Sorry Dan, you read my email after I made the purchase. You can still help, yes?

Hey Mike I remember seeing a pic posted showing the cut out to access the dial. It must be in one of the Megan threads. The pic should give you a good idea where to drill. Hows the ride?

I located that picuture K9 - thanks.
The ride is pretty exceptional if you consider the spring rates are 280 front and 335 in the rear - linear! There is lots of room for damper adjustment too. The Powerflex front control arm bushings are not installed yet, long story
, but perhaps by Tuesday. I'm leaving the stock swaybars in place until the first event at LRP April 8...I was at LRP all day yesterday as a spectator. Two cars wrecked while on the warm-up laps
Lets see, 37 degrees means no heat, no heat means no friction...makes me wonder.
The really nice feature is ride height does not affect suspension travel; just make sure the bottom perch is set snug enough to keep the spring within the perches at all times and then adjust the bottom threaded housing for ride height. I actually pre-loaded the springs a little so there is enough play to corner balcnace the car. The lower housings cannot be turned much after the install - they have all the tabs and connection points for brakes lines etc. I'm very happy with these so far. We'll see what happens after a year of track events; 4@ LRP, 2 @ Watkins Glen and 1 each at Pococno and New Hampshire.
K9, if you're around - your live in NY yes - you can take a ride and determine for yourself
