H Sport Camber plates

I have decided to go with a set of KW Variant 2's which I am ordering on Monday. I would like to get a set on H Sport camber plates to compliment but need a little help.

Like all other products I'm sure there are pro's and cons as well as opinions yay and nay. Feel free to post those but my main question is this:

H Sport makes 3 camber plates
1. Part #30820 for coilover systems with 2.25" springs
2. Part #30810 for coilover systems with 2.5" springs
3. Part #30800 for OE diameter springs

Which ones are right for me (obviously not #3 right)? I checked KW's site but it does not say which size spring they use so I am a little stuck.

I tried to find out the info for you but had no results. Try contatcing ///ACS330CI. I know he has V2's on his MCS. I don't think he will mind me pimpin' him out for this info.

Also, let me know what you find out because I am about to purchase H-Sport camber plates for V2's and I am lazy.

I was not happy with these plates. they increased my front sus noise too much. Though I can be quit picky about noises and creaks in my car.

H-Sport has developed a new camber plate for the Mini and the prototype is waiting to be tested. Some of us have seen the new unit, and it does look very interesting---. I am sure that H-Sport will release information after the unit has been thoroughly evaluated and a decision about manufacturing has been made. Time line --- who knows?

That's good to hear. Shame on H-Sport for making a crappy decision in deciding to sell the plates in the first place. If they need a test mule, I'm game to drive to Cali. It only takes 4 hours.

I don't mean to yell, but I just spent 2 hours pulling them off my MCS and replacing them with the RDR/Helix plates. Steve (///ASC330csi) runs stock top plates currently but after helping me install my RDR's today I think he will be going with these.

They clunk horribly out of the box. They are in fact a modded Subaru plates to fit the MINI. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Drew at Hotchkis/H-Sport this week trying to get some money back for mine and I am gonna end up losing my a$$ on them.

PM for more details.
There is a mod for those camber plates that rattle. It's around here somewhere.

I also say don't get H-Sport plates. I'm on my second set. They get terrible clunking and binding after a years use.

I have had my H-sport plates for over a year and about 15k miles. No problems with the plates at all. They work as advertised. The only issue I had was not torquing down the strut retaining nut enough. It turns out I should have used a new self locking nut. READ FACTORY MANUAL about replacing these after each new stut removal/install. That was the scource of "clunking" on my car. It wasn't the plates, it was the installer...me.

As far as customer service, when I inadvertantly over-torqued the bearing cover and stripped the torx head bolt, Drew at Hotchkiss sent me a full set of new bolts and bearing retaining plates FREE. Excellent service!!!!

Kudos to Hotchkiss. I will certianly buy from them in the future.
