Rear sway bar over bumps
So since it's gotten colder outside I've noticed everytime I go over bumps my rear of the car makes like a squeak noise. During the fall there was no noise there. I'm going to Detroit tuned Tuesday and I will have them drive my car then, but I'm wondering if anyone has this issue? Keep in mind when I had my OEM sway bar in last winter I had no issues in weather below 40 degrees. I also had to replace my stock endlinks as well since the original ones were garbage.
Thanks!

Thanks for the input!
Interesting...I'm pretty sure it's my 19mm H Sport that I installed last winter that I've been hearing squeak the last few days. It's only been in the low 50s lately. I'll have to try regreasing it.

If your zerk fitted bushings are like mine it's a waste of time to even try and grease them with a grease gun, Why,because the bushing has one little groove straight across. The grease goes in follows the groove out. The bushing needs to have a spiral groove completely around to do any good. When I had mine installed I ask to have them use the tube of grease that came with the kit. They did not. I finally took the bushings off the shaft to check them. Bone dry. Hand greased them and this took care of things for a long time I hope. This is what I found with the VIP 19mm swaybar.
My Hsport came with two sticky grease pillow packs. I used one for the two bushings, therefore have an extra one. The first pack covered both bushings pretty good. I hope I don't have to take apart my sway bar and grease it every year.
I'm due, got the squeak with the cooler temps. I'm going to try the grease zerks before taking the brackets off. Lyndell is most likely correct.

That's what I was afraid of. How are we supposed to regrease using zerks when we can't find a tube to attach to?
I just bought a tube of Lucas "Red 'N Tacky #2" at NAPA. I think the operative in any grease bought for this application is Marine. If it can stand up to constant water\moisture and submersion, It ought to be just the ticket for sway bushing. I just hope I don't have to pull the brackets, although I bet I will.

So today I listened very closely, and it's my passenger side rear sway endlink...again. Made a set appointment at Detroit Tuned and I'm getting there endlinks installed over these pathetically designed OEM endlinks.
OEM end-links don't squeak, but they do clunk/rattle when worn off.
Squeaking is way more likely to come from the polyurethane bushings you likely had installed with the aftermarket sway bar. If so, you can re-grease them with whatever goo was provided, but first wrap few layers of teflon tape on the bar, then re-install.
YMMV,

It's highly unlikely your OEM end-links are squeaking. On the other hand, you implied that you had installed aftermarket end-links previously - in which case all bets are off. I know Shane, after this second time I refuse to buy another OEM pair. I will just buy the ones Detroit Tuned sells, similar to the WMW ones.
I picked up a set from way. I believe they are powergrid links. Everything's been sound since I put them in. I posted a short video on YouTube showing how one end on the stock links had gone bad, causing the clunking sound on the rear of my car.

So did it fix your issue?
a
wrapping the bar in teflon tape helps a lot.
energy suspension grease works well.
also, make sure your endlinks are properly torqued (though that usually leads to a clunk, not a squeak).

WMW said teflon was not required on the H-Sport bars. I am sure it helps, just a lot of conflicting guidance out there.
