Coil over Install questions

I am planning on getting the KW 1 Variant coil over system for my r52, but i have become skeptical after reading and browsing through some threads.

Do i need camber plates and new rear control arms? and if so what do you suggest?

Or can i just install the coil overs with what i have already :O

IMO both depend on how low you plan on adjusting the coil-overs. If you go lower then IMO 1", I would get them. Other users are sure to answer your question now.

Well since you are going that low, I would suggest you get camber plates and new rear control arms. Then you wont be wearing out tire prematurely IMO.

I was looking for the same thing. No plans to track the car and wanted to clear speedbumps and driveways. Went with Swift springs which dropped the car an inch all around on OEM shocks. Ride is a little stiffer than stock. Install was easy enough for a noob like myself to do it. With a one inch drop, speedbumps are not an issue but I have to drive at an angle to come up my driveway.

I defiantly want to go with the KW 1 coil overs though, i think i need some new shocks so that will take care of that and what is the limit? like can i manage with new adjustable rear control arms? because then its only like a 1600$ package for the coilover system+install. But if i had to get the adjustable camber plates its like 2100:O

Sorry guys :( i am a big noob at this. still trying to learn, also i wouldent know what parts to pair with my coilovers? i dont know if they all go together or what

I would go with the rear control arms, and if you decide you need plates you can add them later. I've been running without camber plates for the better part of 300,000 miles. I'm on m7 coils running pretty low, and haven't had tires wear any faster than stock.

Thank you, that gives my wallet some relief!

I am assuming these would do the trick:

with

Yhose are the comtrol arms I've been running. Some say that they make a bit of noise, but I've never had an issue.
