Hey all, I am in the process of installing my new coilovers. For the rear's I am thinking I need to use the OEM strut hat, but things just dont feel right. (take that with a grain of salt, I am no mechanic) Has anyone done this before that can lend me some guidance? How do I put it all back together before I put it back on car? I can take some pictures and post them if it helps. Thanks! I am headed out on a date, so will review the thread on my return.

Can you give us a better description of your problem, other than "things just don't feel right?"

 

the strut hat bottoms out on the strut at a point on the KW V3's that it doesnt on the OEM.

 

I would think the coilover would reassemble exactly the same as the OEM parts would. Did you reuse the washer and that inch long metal sleeve under top perch? I am just guessing here....

 

Yea, I did. The coilover actually came with its own sleeve.
