Im in the market to buy springs like now, and these were my number one choice originally, but I am really worried about the uneven height as well.

Not sure what to do at this point.

YES this problem is only with Gen 1 MINI's not with our R56 TSW springs.
Any updates on replacement springs with the correct wire size? It has been quite some time now.

Yeah, seems like a really, really long time to manufacture springs, but I'm sure there is more to it than I understand. I'm patiently waiting too.

Way, in Sept of last year you mentioned that the wire size was incorrect and that you would follow up with the manufacturer for replacements using the correct wire size. Please provide an update - it would be greatly appreciated.

I have been waiting too for a year now. Spoke to way today and apparently still no time frame on when they will be completed. Does anyone know of any other linear springs for the R53s?

Swift Spec R springs are linear, but a little stiffer and more expensive then the TSW Springs. I currently have Swift Springs and had them on stock struts, they were too harsh for the roads in my area, and I had planned on getting TSW Springs when they get re released, but I just paired the swift's with Koni Sports and wow, they ride much better now.

I may still get the TSW"s when they come out just to compare and see which ones I like more, but Swift is a nice even drop and linear.

Where did you purchase the swift springs from? They sound like a pretty good alternative to the TSW. I am just tired of the front end sitting and inch higher than stock and it taking FOREVER to get replacement springs.

I got mine from a local company that I have work with to develop coilovers for my MR2. The company is Fortune Auto, they are also a swift dealer.

I believe trackworx is a vendor on here and they are a swift dealer as well. Not sure on their price for the springs though, but they are more expensive then TSW.

Anyone consider just putting their factory springs back in the front so that at least your car doesnt have the extra lift?

Not worth the trouble in my opinion. The car handles great with the springs, just looks a little funny. Another downside is that I am not getting the full amount of negative camber with my IE fixed plates either due to the raised stance.

Honestly, how is it possible for it to take so long create some springs?

Honestly, I contacted Way about this about a month ago, because I am wanting to swap my swift springs for the TSW springs, but I was NOT willing to worry about the raised front end.

He said that it wasn't just having the company make a new batch, he actually had to switch manufacturers and that they had a set of test springs on a car now and they were making sure that EVERYTHING was perfect with them before they released them. He said they were also expecting these to be slightly better then the V3 springs.

Way said they would make an announcement when they were ready. I can't wait for them, I really want to get my hands on a set. I like my swift springs a lot, the drop is great and all, but with the terrible roads I have here in Norfolk, VA the spring rates are HARSH. I installed Koni Sports as other Swift owners said this made them more bearable, and while this is true, the ride is much better with Koni's then stock struts, it is still a little too much for me. I am hoping that the softer TSW's will ride a little smoother over these aweful roads. I am not expecting luxury ride, but if it's gonna feel like coilovers, I'd rather get coilovers.

I started this thread almost a year ago and my front springs have not settled and remain higher than stock ride height. I've asked for an update through various posts in the thread and most recently by PM - I've heard nothing. It would be nice to get an update after so much time has passed. I've waited a year and am pretty patient but not too pleased about not getting an update. I really hoped I'd get better after-sale service.

Over 1 year on my springs also. No change in height, still lifted up front. Hoping for an update real soon also.

Seems most of you waiting are more patient than I am. A month or two is one thing but a year is unreasonable. At least if I was contacted with an update or at least a note to say that the issue will be resolved, I'd feel a bit better.

Of all the things I bought for my car, this has to be the worst experience in terms of after-sales support. Admittedly, pre-sales service was decent but aftersales ...non-existent.

I've PM'd Way a couple times and no response, but usually when I call him he either answers, or calls right back without me leaving a voicemail. I would highly advise you give him a shout on the phone.

You have not gotten an update because there is no update. As we stated before we will contact the customers wanting the springs when we have them available. And we still do not have them ready for sale and the issue will be resolved, as we want to sell springs this is how we make money. But we can not hurry the process, nor will I put my name on a product that isn't perfect.

We have offered you a refund and it was your choice to wait, if you want a refund you need to let us know. If your so mad pick up the phone and make a call to us, we don't sit on NAM all day. We have work to do, including testing springs.

OK tlr1000, I'm over your posting all over about "our horrible customer service" So here is your response in public so everyone can read cause I have nothing to hide. Your unhappiness is all you. Yes your springs are bad, we acknowledged that. On Jul 29th 2011 you got 2 replacement springs, and to this day YOU have not installed them. But been very happy to post that you need updates. Well sorry like I posted before you won't get any until they are ready. It is horrible idea to give you expected times that manufactures expect to have parts to us, because if you had dealt with as many manufactures as I have you would know they never deliver on time. So if I did give you those dates that have passed you would then tell me I was a liar and don't deliver when I say. And for all the testing and measurements and fitting we have done it does absolutely nothing to tell you about all that and call each time we do it. I don't have time to do that, and apparently you don't have time either since you don't have time to install the replacement springs you already got.
So do me and everyone else a favor and either install the springs we sent you.
OR Take the refund we offered you long time ago and we'll send the replacement springs to one of the other customers in this thread that would be happy to have them and use them.
I don't care either way. I'm just tired of you ragging on me. I make money when I sell these springs, that money pays my bills and puts a roof over my head. So I'm 100 times more interested in getting these springs right and sold. But I will NOT compromise quality to make a buck and I will NOT offer them for sale or put WMW on them until I'm 100% happy with everything about them. If making springs that work correct, and fit right was so easy everyone would make their own. WMW will get it right.

Sorry for my rant, but Thanks to the customers that understand and patiently waiting.

It's been over a year of posting, PMs, and emails with no response. You mentioned in previous posts that the problem was due to wire size. The replacement springs you sent have the exact same wire size as measured by a digital Vernier Caliper. Should I install them and waste money because of manufacturing problems? Are those problems all me? In all my communications I have not asked you for a specific time commitment...all I asked was for you to let me know that I would get replacements whenever they were ready. To my recollection, I never received any such commitment. Honestly, you made me feel as if you wanted to sweep this under the rug and hope the problem would disappear. I think I've been more than patient. With respect to a refund, I don't recall ever getting that offer. I'm tired of not getting any response. Money does not grow on trees for anyone...like you it's also finite for me and I expect to get what I pay for and if there are issues I'd appreciate a response.

So let's get this straight. Will I get a replacement set with the correct wire size once they're available? That's all I'm looking for right now as I understand making it right, safe, etc. At no time did I ever ask for a time deadline. Reasonable?

Way, Are you manufacturing only front springs to cure the lifted front end, or are the rear springs also going to be different?
