Anyone installed BC Coils on R56?

Hello i am new here, i am wondering if there is anyone that installed the BC Coilovers on R56?
I've only seen the one on the 1st gen mini and they had to modify the tower and also drill holes to get the adjuster out? is this the same case for the BC coils? cus i dont want to do any of those surgeries to my mini

also, if i dont do those surgeries, is it still ok to fit the suspension? would it be difficult to adjust the height, stiffness and rebound in the future? thanks

I have BC coilovers on my Mini. It's a daily driven Mini that has never seen the track. I didn't install the extended adjusters in the rear or make any additional holes in the front. I simply set everything in the middle and let it be. Again, very happy with them overall.

I just installed mine a few weeks ago.

No you do not need to drill or cut anything. Generally people who modify the car in that way are going to the track often and need to constantly adjust their camber and dampening. So instead of it taking a half hour every time it only takes 3 minutes.

Are you guys running the springs that came with the BC's or have you installed another set like Swifts? I've read a lot on the 1st Gen forum about this.

How about letting us know which swift springs are compatible? IIRC, they inner diameters are 2.5", but I don't know the proper lengths to get the correct preload on the springs.

Info for swift springs.

Fronts - Freelength 152mm, diameter 65mm, 8kgmm
Backs - Freelength 178mm, diameter 65mm, 6kgmm

I have the BC springs currently which I like a lot, but I will be swapping to Swift soon with a lower spring rate.

Any reason you aren't running 178mm (7") springs on both f&b?

What rate are you planning on going to and why?

It's probably because he's trying to keep the front and rear lengths as close as possible to the stock BC lengths (since the BC coils are different lengths front and back).

I thought the BC's came with 6" springs front and back with a 7/6 rate.

D Unit is right about trying to keep the same lenght. My bc springs came with 8k front and 6k in the rear. My car has no sunroof, no back seats, and is right around 2650lbs with me in the car. I think going to 6k front and 5k rear will make the car ride a lot better.

6.5 to 7k all the way around

I will run 7k all the way around after consulting with Pete at BC about total weight and tire.

the front endlinks are probably hitting the control arms.

Being lowered more then 1.5" or so. Some coilovers come with different endlinks for this reason.

Maybe cause of the unequal load of the driver being on the left side? Just a guess.
