she did a 2:34.0 with 105 degree heat. I had her in the low 2:39's in about 90 degree weather last time she was there... over a year ago. Sebring is one of the very temp dependent tracks. In the SSC car 10 degrees is worth almost a second. The SSB Mini's run high 39's in the cool weather in January. I figure with A6's in some cooler temps in the winter as it sits it would break into the 20's. We'll see what it does this weekend with NASA. I'm really hoping for a 31 even in the heat.

I would give the suspension the advantage, then temps then 15hp...you have to slip your driving abiltiy in their somewhere - better setup = more confidence.

What class are you running? What suspension mods can you make, and just what do you have on the car now?

TTC,
Car has
RMW cam
RMW Header
RMW water/alcohol Injection
OS Giken LSD
OS Giken Clutch and flywheel
AST shocks and springs
Vorshlag top mounts and camber plates
H-sport rear control arms
Alta rear bar
H-sport front bar
Power flex front bushings
440 injectors
17% pulley
15x8 fronts
15x7 rears
Hoosier R6's 205/50's
Made 193 whp 2 weeks ago. (110k on the supercharger, we think it's on it's way out)
Weighs 2490lbs with 3/4 tank of gas and a full tank of meth.

The heat was badly sucking up the power at sebring. I think the intake temps were getting way to hot and it was pulling a lot of timing. Out Lap (untimed as it was the out lap) I was seeing just shy of 130mph on the back straight. 1st hot lap I was only seeing 115mph due to the heat soak. Going to attempt to retune it for a larger meth nozzel this week.

Wow! I thought it'd be tough to get heat soak with that kit, but I guess over 100 degrees and the way you all run your car did it! Keep us posted - this is a great thread to follow.

Well, I think I just flat wasn't running enough alcohol. I had a .6 nozzle in the car. But going from the JCW's to the bigger injectors I need to run a significantly larger nozzle. Which we'll be trying this week. think of it like trying to put out a wild fire with a squirt gun. We're putting a fire hose on it now!
From a guy that's used to racing showroom stock this ability to change and modify the car is eating me up. Jan's been quite patient with my many many questions about this whole tuning process.

It'll be great if this ends up being a solution for you to run lap after lap of cool intake temps. Less serious track-rats (like me) who would love this mod will watch and patiently wait for your impressions.

So this is Time Trials?
I don't know of any class of racing that alows meth, but I certainly don't know all of what's out there. I gather TT can be pretty open.

Yeah, TT is pretty open. Means you can spend more money.

Played with the AST's a bit more. Blew some more alcohol in there and Got a new Tune from RMW and found 1.8 seconds on a even hotter day. 2:32.1
She'll run a sub 2:30 when the weather cools a bit!
