Lowered on Mach V springs!

Freshly lowered on Mach V Springs!
1.25" drop all around, pictures taken after about 70 miles, alignment to come this week!
Rides great, you def feel bumps more, but its not uncomfortable at all- and the lower center of gravity is definitely noticiable around corners, as the car holds its own in a more neutral sense now. Can't wait to get my rear sway bar! I want koni adjustables eventually too- as money will allow..
btw, i don't feel the torque steer anymore! Or at least i haven't launched it hard enough yet to be able to tell =p

onto the pictures!!

Before/After comparos

tiny brakes!

larger front view... my hood wasn't latched properly FTL, hence the gap on the pass. side grr

ret*rded rear camber! driver side is worse than pass. need some spacers to widen that stance too!

Look at that rear tire tuck into the wheel well... not the 'good tuck'...
spacers + wider tires... that'll be a good solution

mmh check out that nasty camber

Enjoy! Thanks for lookin
CC welcome!

Looks good dude! I love your silver/black/red theme and how you did the before/after pictures, you really notice a difference!

Do you think you'll run into problems aligning with the stock control arms?

Thanks! You can definitely tell the difference from before after [ one reason that pushed me away from the tsws]
With alignment, hopefully no issues. I am hoping to get within -0.5 neg camber in the rear which will be good.

So you did end up buying them!!

Just can't beat that drop with Mach V's...it looks so perfect. GREAT pics you took btw...car looks great. They may settle a little more...mine did.

However, as I told you before, get ready for a horrible ride! When I first put mine on, I was like oh ok...this almost feels better than stock! But you will notice that deteriorate over time...at least mine has...its brutal now! But like you are planning, I will be getting adjustable struts/shocks when money permits (summer). I'll take the harsh ride as long as I don't have to look like a 4x4 and have the horrible floaty feeling that the stock suspension gave!

oh okay, I didn't know whether or not they are runflats, however, you have a 205 profile huh? I wonder, do you have enough room to fit a 215 or 225. I eventually want to go to 225, but hope that with my drop it will permit me too. Oh well, again, once you get an alignment, it will look awesome! Nice drop and I know you of all people are stoked about it

Yup koni adjustables coming--
the ride is fine right now-
my look on it is for all springs, ive heard a whole range of responses to each one from 'its WAYY too harsh to its not that bad at all", and it all ends up being a few factors, how old you are, what your tolerance is, and what you expect for ride quality.

the mini in no way rides like my old w202 benz i used to own- but then again, no way did my benz handle like my mini does. i love the way these ride, they are harsher on bumps, but only in the sense that they are a bit tighter, which is expected- they are not uncomfortable at all, and only makes my handling much more confident of the car- swaying around bumps, left/right all feels much more secure now.

about the ride becoming crappy/worse over time-- i think you have a case of blown struts on your hands. the springs themselves should not make the ride worse over time, as they are cold wound, and in any cold wound spring, they won't sag over time (which would be the only reason why the ride would get worse). however, if the strut is blown from being more compressed at all comes than stock and bottoming out more, then the car will not dampen out correctly / comfortably with blown struts, thus causing a harsh and bumpy ride.

are you on stock struts or sport? i forgot, sorry-

good luck with the yellows!

I'm 22, like loud/uncomfortable/fast cars, thought the stock sport suspension was horribly soft and floaty....and so when I say the ride is bad and harsh...its bad. Like I've told some people before...I have friends that won't even ride in the car if we're going very far. They're all young too.

Where I live right now LA the roads are surprisingly horrible though so I'm sure that doesn't help. On normal smooth roads back home in AZ...its stiff, but not unbearable.

Stock sport.

Yea, I'm sure the struts are on the way out. The car handles well still, the ride is just crap. Then again though, when struts wear out its a gradual thing over time, so I probably don't even notice that the car handles any worse than before...seems fine to me though, it gets tossed around curves quite a bit! I put the Mach V's on at like 1k miles and have just under 17k now, so I dunno how long the struts should last. But on these roads, with the very limited amount of travel, I'd imagine not long.
