New Madness 22mm Swaybar Installed

I just spend 2 hours installing the Madness 22mm rear anti-sway bar. Not as difficult as I had imagined. Heard I would need a pry bar or something to move the subframe out of the way, but with a little wiggling the OEM bar just popped out. New bar popped in easily and with a little push here and push there, everything fell back together nicely.

The directions provided were of sufficient detail.

I went for a quick drive but I was not as spirited as I would have liked; the weather here has been rainy all day. Slippery roads made it a bit unsafe to really hit the corners but I could definitely feel a difference in cornering feel even at modest speeds and cornering. Overall, so far, really impressed! Looking forward to some suspension bushings and engine mounts in the near future.

Highly recommend the 22mm bar from Madness

Once you get a chance to take a proper ride, let us know if there are any new sounds, especially if you go over speed-bumps

Went for a proper spin this morning, and yes, awesome. Much tighter through a corner without a doubt. You can induce a bit of oversteer if you play with brakes/throttle just right Mind you I am currently riding stock strut assemblies.

No new sounds on:
Speed Bumps Check.
Rough Curb Transitions Check.
Choppy Asphalt Check.
Pot Holes Check (only hit 2, probably not enough statistical data )

Best bang for suspension buck!

You don't get tons of oversteer with almost no effort? I can induce oversteer relatively easily with the stock setup, and I was under the impression that the 19mm would increase this quite a bit. So I thought the 22mm would be too much and I would be oversteering everywhere. I was trying to justify the 22, but thought I would be sliding everywhere even when I didn't want to (not often ).

Basically, what is your opinion on the amount of oversteer that you get? I guess as long as you don't let off in the middle of the turn, you will be alright. But, if you do, how extreme is the transition? Is it very controllable/forgiving, or do you really need to be on your toes. So, if I went into a corner unsure, and let off/tapped the bakes (made a mistake), would it kick out and spin around sixteen times, or would it be relatively easy to maintain?

Is it OK for n00bz to adjust to, or do you think I should start with the 19?

Thanks you in advance for your opinions.

With the stock setup I could induce a wee bit of oversteer, but I had to work at it. Even at Streets of Willow Springs I had to lift at just the right moment to get the back to think about letting loose. With the 22mm it is not uncontrollable or absolutely squirrely. I've been playing around town and on Mulholland Highway already and haven't felt unsafe. The beauty of a front wheel drive car is when the back plays, if you nail the gas the car is pulled straight. Now when I played in the parking lot on Sunday, well, you can imagine spinning the car around is a ton of fun

Basically I find the amount of oversteer available to be controllable and even exciting.

I went directly to the middle position. No complaints
