Bouncy as in slightly underdamped for the spring rates selected. If they had adjustable dampers I'd add a click or two of rebound damping to bring the behavior back from Japanese to German. That said, they are very similar to the standard suspension R56, which is the least German-feeling of all MINI tunings I've driven to date.

Ryephile: I have a question to ask. For a non-track Mini driver, would these coilovers be sufficient? I'm sort of confused regarding the general consensus on this system. Are these "perfect" for daily driving use with no track time or will the same vehicle be better off saving for a 1.5k coilover system. Frankly, does one even need a 1.5k coilover system if you're just driving on the streets?

the vmaxx coilovers are made for show. so yes it'd be perfect for a daily driver. and youre right. haha i dont see why people would buy 1k of coilovers if they dont track the car. like me

this system is a good system. but the reason why there have been mixed riviews is cuz of how new it is. thy've been aruond since september i believe. some people question the price others question the make. but to me if it passes the tests required (which it has) then theyre prefectly good to me.

Hi, i m very interested in buy V-Maxx HERE (i m from italy)

I have some question :

-If I buy that, i need other stuff to fit on my 07 cooper d?

-I also have at home a new set of KW springs. I better sell the sprins and buy v-maxx (no track day, only normal use) or mount only the KW springs?

Very thanks in advance to all ^^

no its the grooves and those stupid rivets on the Hotswaps that are hard to keep clean..they get diry and you have to use Q-tips like every 2 days to get the dust out

and if you're refering to the least of my worries being my wall, its working just fine thank you

I just picked up a set from stratmosphere this AM on sale for 519.xx with their 20% off sale. They took me on a tour of their facilities. Very professional and clean environment. They also have a nice mandrel bender.

How would these compare to the Sport Suspension on the R56 though? Would it be a worthwhile upgrade or is it mainly just for the drop people are using these?
