I scraped on my driveway cause it has one of those bump curbs which was annoying at stock. Lowering made it worse, I would trim some off everytime I went over a speedbump or my driveway.
Got the JCW aero and stupidly put them on (I thought they made me go faster), and they fell off on my driveway from the curb bump LOL. Since I removed them completely, I havent heard a single scrape
BTW- Jason its SO weird to see a "reference" picture of a red car, and then see your sig. Throw me off every time

Do you have experience working on a car? If so, then yes 
. I installed my coilovers on my MINI in about 2 hours.
Its not necessary, but it will help an EXTREME amount and save time if you have an impact wrench. Compress the spring and then use the impact wrench to get the nut on the top off

agreed, there is also so much room in the wheel well. Shocks and springs can be installed very easily with the right tools.
Here is another question I have. I looked in the boot and it looks like I may have to take out my back seat, to take out the plastic interior pannels to get to the top pf the rear struts. Do I hvae to go through all that or is there another way?

You just trying to remove the rear struts to install lowering springs? The bolts for removal/install are located in the wheel well outside the car. No need to do any work inside the car. Just jack it up, remove the wheel. You'll see two bolts at the top of the strut, and one at the bottom. It's as easy as that.
What are you trying to do with the top of the rear struts? If you're just trying to remove them to install coilovers then you just access the bolts from the wheel well. No need to do any work on the inside of the car.
If you're trying to drill a hole in the body to install adjustment *****, then yes...you need to strip the rear half of the interior to access them.

^ hope it worked out! There is just two bolts holding it from teh bottom of the car, and 1 on the trailing arm on the bottom for the rear...easy as cake.

As for my wheels, I am trying to sell them with the tires (about 85% tread left) for around 1000 OBO and can probably help some with shipping.

Hey everone! I previously reported that i bought v-maxx coilovers. Well, while they were sitting in the spare bedroom, i decided that i want to lean more toward the performance side of things. So i sold the coilovers and bought some Koni yellows.
I was so torn between the Yellows and the FSD's. They are both very reputable products but i didn't want to risk blowing out the FSD's with lowering springs. So i went with the Yellows. Was this a sound decision?
Now i'm waiting on the shocks and struts to get here but i'm now left with yet another quandary... what lowering springs to get? I've heard great things about the NM RSa's??? Any suggestions?
I probably should have just started another thread, but i've witnessed great knowledge in this thread so i am asking here...Once I get the setup done i promise to bring lots photos into the thread! Thanks guys
