Suspension Gallery! Show me your lowered MINI!
pssssh I've been rocking poke and stretch on MINI's for years
But DY definitely stepped up to the table with an insane stance.
Now get out and shoot more pics DY!!

Not if you want to achieve the same stance(look) he has. He is has "poke and stretch" i.e. his wheels poke out of the the wheel well and the tire stretch back towards the wheel well.
A 16x8 et 35 wheel will sit pretty much dead flush in the wheel well and a 225 tire will not stretch at all on a 8" wheel

I love the look of this setup though, its great! Whats your feedback on these issue DY? Thanks
Yes, stretch cuts down on sidewall flex much like running lower profile tires on 18's would for example.
You can definitely focus more on handling, but you start sacrificing aesthetics. Then again, if you went with VMaxx's, you can't be THAT interested in handling

Why can't we just have the best of both worlds?!? :sigh: I should just stick to modding bicycles or something, Mini's are expensive! LOL pay to play

Yah, you can't have the best of both worlds. You can have a sweet looking car, but it won't win nationals. Or you could have an autocross champ, but it won't be much of a looker.
Doesn't mean you can't enjoy a little bit of both. My slammed/stretched/poked cars have never been the BEST handlers, but they still handle great and you can still have a good time out in the twisties.

More photos on the way. Can't just take any pictures

[QUOTE=jonnyyellow;2942643]haha awsome! What brand are those wheels? They look like rota slipstreams but slipstreams dont come in 16x9

Nothing special... Just replaced the OEM amber bulb with an aftermarket bulb with the bluish orange finish. The bulb still flashes amber. I'll get a close up shot of it when I get home.
Your mini looks hot,
I love your rims and tires what brand at they? (Wheels/tires)
Also how low did you go?
Is the ride harsh?
Do you have a problem with bottoming out?
How'd you solve your mushrooming issue?
Sorry for the twenty questions but I have wanted to do this to mine for a while, your feed back would be valuable in my decision making process.

I strongly believe there has never been a documented case of weak strut towers resulting in mushrooming for the R56. If you're really that worried buy some strut tower reinforcement plates from M7 or Craven Speed.

The measurments I'm give are from the Jack points on my car.
I'm 2" in the front and 3" in the rear.
The ride isn't as bad as I expected. But I don't drive as aggressivly now that I am this low.
I have m7 strut tower plates with bar.
