Pics of H&R Springs

Well finally took some pics. The springs have been on for almost 2 weeks. Cleaned up the car a little bit and took some pics.

Do you have the stock shocks? or the factory sport shocks? How's the ride quality?

I would like to decrease the wheel/fender gap also but.... the airdeflector under the front bumper is only 2" off the ground after lowering and the dead raccoons on the road are taller than that..... Damn...

Nope I use it to tell when things are too too low. Better to scrape that and judge from the sounds than to smack my front or go over something that could hit the bottom of the car.

Looks great! Nice addition to the car. BRG is such a tasteful color for the R56!

I am told those plastic air diffusers that scrape are very important to reducing turbulent air flow under the car. Hopefully someone comes up with an effective aftermarket solution that is better suited for the lowered R56's. That would sell me on lowering the car. I've got some vicious wheel gap going on with the 215/40-R17 tires!

H&R Spring color

I've seen pics of the H&R springs. Some show a green, and others red. Are they different springs? Are both colors available?

And who's got the best price for the set. I think I've seen $240-$260.

I'm in the same boat....love the decreased fender gap & handling...hate the scraping on slopes & speed bumps. also don't like the wear on tires, but i did hear that you can get back to stock alignment, so prolly not too much an issue.

I think mine were blue!?! I gotta check now...

Mine were $236 or $239 through my local Les Schwabe.

My front is exactly as it was prior to lowering.

My rear is "within factory specs", but negative camber was increased by about a half degree. I could eliminate this by some adjustable lower control arms, but after 8500 miles I've notice no adverse wear and the rear sticks so well, I don't want to mess with a good thing .

PS -Vampyre-: LOVE the BRG/W with the stripes, tint, stubby and new stance... those S-winders though, have got to go! I'm thinking some Flick Arctics would look $h!t hot with that set-up:

Nice...

That looks really nice. Very clean. I agree with the rim choice, the Arctics look sick on any MINI period. 2 questions...

Did your suspension end up being the blue springs or red?

The polished lip on that rim looks white, is that just the picture and its actually chrome or polished or is it indeed white?

I will deff. purchase those for they're price if it has a polished lip.

Thanks,

StevieC

I prefer the classic look of bronze or gold wheels on the BRG. I am planning on staying with 16". I have 2 wheels in mind. Onde will definately fit, the other might not. YOu can read and comment here on this thread.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=117173

And my springs were a metallic black/grey color. They were 212 shipped through tirerack. They had a special going on.

The H&R pics that dealers use are avail. with the springs in red and some are blue this has nothing to do with the actual spring color. They are alot of times just marketing pics. The R56 H&R springs that I have in stock and have sold have been a charcoal colored spring. The last R53 springs I sold were green. FYI

As for best price, Give me a call I'll see what I can do.
