Which OC dealership?
Which OC dealership?
Okay, my move is one week away. We're all packed, and can't wait to get out of LA and into our new place.
The only thing I haven't really figured out is which OC dealership to switch to. I'm currently with Assael, and would stay for them if they weren't so awefull, but they are, so I won't. Irvine MINI will be the closest, followed by Crevier. Southbay and Long Beach are further north, but still convenient.
Where do you guys think I should go for service now? I need opnions.

I bought from Irvine, but have not had much in the way of contact with the service department yet, so can't offer any opinions yet. I did have a good if inexperienced MA, some of the MA's seem to have had their personalities surgically removed....

Dumb question, but I just placed my order from Irvine BMW instead of Crevier because of the lower price.
But could I still bring my car for servicing at Crevier? Also, the Crevier sales guy told me that if I didn't buy the car from them, I wouldn't get a loaner car from them if I brought my car in for servicing. Is this true?
Thanks!

Typically, Crevier only provides car washes and service loaners to customers that purchased their cars from them. They used to car wash any BMW regardless of where it was purchased.
I don't buy a car from a dealer because of car washes. But that's kind of lame about the service loaners. And I do believe that is their policy.
I tried to get a service appointment at Irvine Mini, but they don't do Dinan Mini's, so I ended up at Crevier. Always had reasonably good experiences at Crevier. I don't know too much about Irvine Mini.
You can bring your car anywhere you want for dealer / warranty service (assuming no Dinan issue).
But, dealers tend to favor servicing their own cars, that they sold. Shouldn't be that way, but sometimes it just is.

I've had two good experiences at Irvine Mini. No problems and they were able to take care of me very quickly. Our mini is stock so maybe that is why it was simple. They could be changing their stripes due to rough reviews.
Crevier for sure!
We bought the wifes BMW at Irvine BMW and while the sales experience was awesome, the service has left alot to be desired.
I picked up my MINI from Crevier this past week and a really good friend of mine is an MA over there. He promises that their service is top notch and their whole business model is built around service.
So I am positive Crevier gives you great service, and they really try to embody that "niche" specialty segment that is MINI.

I stopped going to Crevier because they nickel & dime you on the loaners. Every time I get a loaner there it's low on gas and they expect you to fill it back to the same level. Well, I'm not going to fill up their tank and I try to replace what I used, but heaven forbid I'm a bit short. I've never gotten a loaner there for less than $20-30 every time. In addition, my Toll-Road transponder failed to beep in the loaner and Crevier tried to tag me for ALL the other toll violations that were on the loaner!
I've been to Irvine a few times, nothing bad to note other than their indifference. They did replace my center armrest/console no-charge when I got it jammed with a pen.
Honestly, I trek my car all the way to Ontario now. They've been nothing but super cool to me. They were able to get MINIUSA to goodwill a dead battery (that made my car go nuts!). I bought tires from them (PZeroes) because they were cheaper there than online at TireRack, Discount Tire, etc.
PS - I bought my R56S new from Crevier. I know people that work in the service department, but just got tired of having to pay for something on a loaner EVERY time.
