Help! Mice Damage

I was hoping someone might have access to a totaled Mini that could supply me with a foam part that some darn mice chewed through a few months ago. The dealer didn't have the part, so I'm reaching out to the community. It's not a big deal, but I would like to get a new one. It's the a black foam piece I believe the dealer said it was something with the firewall.

I guess I'm fortunate I caught it in time for such minor damage.

Here are some pics:

Here's more of a close-up:

Here's the undamaged side:

Would anyone be able to find the part # for me???

Thank you!

You could try to find it here. I looked, but I don't know what system it is a part of.

Would that be 41 Bodywork? I have a 2005 MCS with a 1/2005 build. I can't seem to locate that darn foam piece. I'll keep poking around in there. Thanks techtipz!

#20 Padding in the Bodywork and Hood section?

Thanks again.

Get some mouse traps for your garage while you are out.

Well, after I discovered the mice, I made sure to put the dog food in a secure location. I put down every mouse trap ever created, including an electricution type chamber!

They disappeared after I removed their food source.

I may just cover the hole with some black electrical tape. I'd rather fix it with a new piece, but it's not that big of a deal. It could have been a lot worse.

I had a similar problem. Mice chewed through 1 1/2 spark plug wires. My Mini had no power when I'd try to get on the gas. Funny thing was, with no power I got 36 mpg. I had glue traps in my garage so I'm pretty sure it didn't happen there.

When I had my CAI installed recently, in the old air box, Johnny found where they were previously nesting. There was droppings and shredded paper towels. Apparently after they chewed the hole in the foam, they entered the air box and made their nest. Watch your stuff!
