Motor mount went boom
Thar she blows...

My options now are what? Bring it back to the dealer for a warranty fix? If I install an engine damper after the mount is fixed will it help the problem in the future? I've been thinking about the damper for performance purposes but if it will help the life of the new motor mount I'll definately pick it up.
By the way, the car is an '06 S with about 13,500 on it. I noticed a little noise the other day at idle (kind of like a drum cadance but muffled). Checked when I got home that night and didn't see much as it was dark and I was in a rush.
Checked today for mushrooming on the strut towers (have a bit of that too, GO NY roads!) and saw what you see in the pic.

The dealer should fix it under warranty. It is indeed a crappy design.
Might I humbly suggest one of my engine dampers to cure thyself of this problem going forward.
