Does the recirculation button not work when the heater is set on high?

 

BTW, this question is for 2006 owners. Not sure if the other model years are made the same.

 

Haven't noticed that one Jin. Is your dial on heater or defrost? Automatic temp or manual?

 

mine is an 05 and does not recirculate when on hi or low

 

it was on the heater mode and I have automatic. I normally don't use it unless I have to.......for instance if I drive where the air smells a little funky or I smell co2 from a car infront of me. And since it's been cold lately my heater is always on the highest setting. The manuel wasn't too clear about it.

 

If you can smell exhaust from the car in front of you then there are two possibilties , - not on circulation mode or the flap for circulation was not fully closed leaving a small gap for external penetration
