Sun Roof Drain Tube

In an attempt to imitate Sherlock Holmes and find the cause/source of water leaking into the driver-side floor board area, where does the sunroof drain tube terminate? Under the car, behind the firewall? In the engine compartment? Where? Is this tubing ridgid, i.e. copper or aluminum tubing? or flexible rubber or poly' tubing? Where is it supposed to exit the vehicle? HELP.....

If I recall correctly, from my last MINI with a sunroof. There are two tubes that exit the body near the roof in the boot.

That is correct. Open the boot and you will see two holes lined with rubber near the roof on either side. The tube can be seen here:

Ofioliti,
Thank you for the info. I'll check to see if these are plugged. Their has got to be a simple explanation to my water leak issue. I hope this is it.
Small world....I see you live in Kirkwood, Mo. I lived there from 1950 to 1965. Terrific town and a great place to grow up. Thanks again, Bruce

Another item that could be causing water leaking is that the drain tubes are pressed shut. Depending on how the installation was done at the factory, there could be a piece of trim pressing the tube(s) shut (the trim presses against the drain tube and closes it shut). You may have to follow the tubes from the boot drain point back to the sunroof (on both sides). The unfortunate thing is that if you have a drain tube that is pressed shut by a piece of trim, the tube seems to have a memory (of being shut) and then must be replaced. If this is the circumstance, I hope the car is still under warranty.

Here's a pic I posted in another thread that might be helpful. My father's 2003 MCS and my 2002 MC had the exact same problem. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...3&postcount=12

mgf1970, I can see where the two hoses should connect. I'm not certain of the location of the two hoses relative to the headliner/front of the car. Looking at this view...Is the camera facing forward?
Perhaps this maybe the culprit. Thanks for your time and photos
