where to get MCS parts?

So I decided to buy the 03MCS that has some potential problems. I need to first do a tune to start with and then start diagnosing some of these issues the car has. First, can someone recommend a good online store to get OEM parts such as filters and the such. I had a good source for my old porsche but they seem to be out of business.

Second, my SES light is on and would like to diagnose before failing my inspection. Is there a good OBDII ReaderResetter that is better than the others. Some are as cheap at$50-60 and some (like the one they sell on Minimania) are over $120. What is the difference?

Which manual do most people find most helpful? Haynes or Bentley or both?

Thanks in advance!

Classic MINI can help you with the maintenance. they are a sponsor for this site.

Any OBD2 reader will do. or just go to autozone and they will read it for you.

Bentley Manual is best!
