Oil Change

When is 1st oil change due on a new Mini?

I read the service book but still confused.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

count down miles on odo during start up or 1 yr.

Im not positive, but I think your 1st scheduled oil change is at the 10k service.

my count down odo did not let me go to an oil change until 12k + miles
cause the dealer would not take it until it was within 500 miles or something.

not that it matters to me now. i do my own changes.
