Tachometer and computer dead (random)
Mini Cabrio S '05 - THe tach and all of the computer (avg spped avg, mileage, digital speedometer, etc) is non-responsive. It happened 2 weeks ago, but when I stopped to eat dinner a got back in it worked again. It happened 1 last week as well and then again tonight. This time is hasn't come back on yet. I stopped and looked at a 350Z today this car is making me nuts! It might be someone elses soon!
Tensioner pulley bearing replaced - squealing
Charger bypass valve stuck open - stranded me in freezing rain
Pass door can't be opened from inside
Alignment has gone to heck - eating up drivers front tire which I just discoverd costs $265 each at tire rack so more to have it mounted!!
Now the tach is acting up.
Can you say SHIFT cars
OOPS, has anyone got any ideas?

Have you recently taken the dash apart or anything else during which the wiring could have been loosend?
As for the passenger door, the cable probably just needs tightening or placed back in the bracket. Take the skin off the inside of the door and adjust it as needed.

Tires - Go with non-runflats and a spare or a can of fix-o-flat.
And I hear you on the alignment
. I paid $170 for my last one while the car was at the dealer because it was conveient.
Any resolution with this issue???
Seems my auxiliary instrument cluster works when it wants.
When it decides to work, everything works fine, (cruise, tach, temp dig speedo, etc), but once you shut the car off, chances are the cluster will not come back to life.
