DSC and Tire Pressure light on !!
Hi,
another problem that sometimes happened to my MCS (except coolant tank !! ...last time it was the airbag light that went on because of these f%%§§ng too short electric cable under the seats....and I'm not talking about the coolant tank...it's the fourth time that they changed it...last time, the leak was so important that I had to fill the tank every 200m trying to reach my dealer place..hopfully it didnt happened on the motorway!!
I love my car, I think it's a fantastic one, but these kind of problems are not for a car that cost more than 21500 EUR !!!

Welcome to MCO!
The tire pressure/DSC light probably DOES NOT require a trip to the dealer to reset! I had this happen to me earlier this week, and it's caused by driving over uneven traction surfaces. (speedbumps, road plates, potholes, icy patches..I'll bet you have some interesting names for this sort of stuff in England...)
Do the reset described in the manual...you may need to do it several times AND drive your car a bit (I did it 5 times and drove over 10 miles before it'd reset) to get it to reset and for the lights to go out. Time also seems to be a factor (weird). I tried a number of resets/driving in the morning to no avail...but when I restarted the car after it sat for about 8 hours, it took only two tries to get the reset to work (one for the tire light and another for the DSC). Annoying, but from what I can tell from reading on this site and MINI2, this is "normal."
If it doesn't reset after a day or so of trying this, then you may have a sensor problem...and naturally that does require the dealer.
Note (for others reading this thread) that you KNOW that this is not a true inflation pressure issue since the tire light is not flashing and chiming as would be the case if the system was picking up a pressure problem.

I've had the same thing happen twice. The lights go out after a bit. I had my dealer look at it the first time and they said that they did a check and didn't find a problem. The second time, I notice that they reset the DSC. Since then I haven't had a problem but it's been less than a week since I've got the car back. But, if it's any indication, I did put about 250-300 miles on this weekend (hard driving too) and no problems.
This one has been kicked about a bunch. Yes "smiley" had this problem.

Jack! What a great photo!
My ABS light came on in conjunction with the tire pressure. I was frantic at first, then they went out on their own. This was last Friday after playing on the ice.
