P0130 and Rev issues
Okay so I did my usualy commute of 10miles just before getting on the highway I noticed I'm idling at 50RPM then after getting off the highway I'm idling at 0 RPM, then at the last stop light of my commute the SES light comes on throwing code P0130. How serious? Does this mean a trip to the dealer? Also I am running an ALTA intake, will this affect warranty or if I need to replace sensor, though I think this is more ECU driven? Anyway I did a ECU reset so hopefully this will go away and not be an issue on my way home. I have had the ALTA for little more than a month no issues.
NO I was never actually at 50 revs its just what my tach displayed sorry if I wasn't clear, I went back and before I even had the key in the ignition the tach was reading about 500revs with the engine off! which is why I'm suspecting and electrical issue.
That plus a few years ago automatic were throwing this code in the first 1k or so miles on the car but that was fixed with ethier harness replacemnt, ECU replacement or just a sesnsor swap. After a few resets everything seems to have fixed itself, I'll check to see if a warning code is being stored and just not turning on the light, tomarrow.
