Starting MCS problem

The title is somewhat wrong but hopefully this explaination will help explain my problem:

When I start my 2003 MCS, i press down on the clutch, then turn the key. After my last service, it seems like i have to press down on the clutch alot harder to start the car. real hard, like maybe 15-20 lbs of pressure with my left foot. Before it seemed to only require very little pressure on the pedal to start. there is no carpet stuck beneth the pedal and no aftermarket pedal covers have been added.

Anyone have this problem??

Have your clutch sensor re-adjusted.

the clutch is hydraulic and uses the same fluid as the brakes
when was your brake fluid last changed
maybe it needs bleeding or a fluid change
or the clutch slave cylinder is faulty
where is this switch at? this is for starting the car in gear as u said.

I changed my original post as I misunderstood the problem I thought the issue was with the clutch pedal pressure,

the switch is located at the top of the clutch pedal, pull down the cover under the steering, it is a bit hard to do but it is hinged and held in with ball type fasteners at the top two corners, behind there you will see the switch on the pedal it is the same setup as the brake lights switch I dont know if there is any adjustment on this, but if there is try to adjust it back twords you,
be carefull not to adjust too much as it will be made the whole time,

According to the dealer I spoke with about my starting troubles, there are 2 sensors/switches on the clutch. One at the top used mainly for the cruise control, and one at the bottom that acts as an ignition interlock.

MY starting troubles were because I was not fully engaging the clutch during ignition.
