Obscure trouble codes

I have a 2009 Clubman S with 140,000 miles that has been throwing some weird codes, and could use some help. Current symptoms are it displays the yellow check engine icon, and runs a little rough particularly at idle, but otherwise seems to accelerate and cruise as normal. These are the codes I get using the Autoenginuity software with the enhanced powertrain module:

1. 2B64 DME: Ambient-Temperature Sensor (E9x) or Camshaft Sensor 2, Intake (N62). I replaced the ambient temp sensor in the front bumper and the intake camshaft sensor, cleared the codes, and this came back twice now. My only thoughts are some sensor upstream of these two that is failing, or perhaps a vacuum leak?

2. 2970 Unknown Trouble Code Description. This pretty much sums it up. I have no idea what this might point to.

3. 2785 DK-Potentiometer

Thanks for any suggestions.

You need a code reader that's built for BMW / Mini. Here's a link to some of the Mini-unique codes, including your 2970 --- https://www.perrin.com/blog/post/min...-r56-dtcs-list suggest you look at the other two also. This list was compiled by the guy who coded the AccessPort for Mini's. Not completely alphabetical but close.

Thanks for the quick reply. The autoenginuity software usually gives factory codes, which is why I was confused this time. The link you posted is incomplete, but I found the blog post and the error codes. It sounds like I have a vacuum leak, which could be causing the other codes. I think I'll smoke test before I go any further.
