2007 MCS Stalls after filling up with Gas

I continue to have problems with my 2007 MCS after I fill up with gas. I've seen with several different models of cars (not Mini) where there's a purge valve that can be replaced and it fixes this problem. I cannot find a purge valve in the Mini on either Real OEM or other parts sites.

I can rev the engine and get it idling at around 2K for approx 30 seconds to 1 minute and it'll stay running...then I'm on my way. It's annoying but not keeping me from driving it.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Ha...never mind...I couldn't find a purge valve because it's not called a purge valve on the 2007 MCS...it's a MINI Fuel Tank Breather Valve with Hose.

I thought I had searched through all the related forum threads but when I posted this today I saw related posts at the bottom of the page...found another thread where the user called it a purge valve but had a link to the part number..

Correct part/number on Pelican Parts is: 13-53-7-543-285-BOE

Before you spend $!00................!

Next time you fill up, make sure the pump nozzle is in as far as it will go & then stop when the pump first shuts off.
I have a feeling you're filling the evap vent hose.

Thanks for the suggestion...I tried that first..have never had any cars do this and I never top off the gas. I bought this car with known problems and did a complete head gasket, timing chain, vacuum pump, new oil housing/heat exchange gaskets, turbo cooling lines etc...Oh...also changed the fuel filter but have had this happen time and again now after 4 - 5 fill-ups.

It is a solenoid right? That's a pretty big hunk of change to dish out. You could test it before replacing it.
