my 2007 Mini has been going into limp mode after a WOT pull but doesn't throw any codes. It idles fine i have new Bosch spark plugs in it it does feel like it is breaking up in higher rpm in third gear (maybe the diverter valve??). I've had this problem for a week or two at this point and have not been able to figure anything out, at this point my belt is squealing loudly when wet and quietly when dry as well one of my pulleys sounds like the bearing is going but hasn't been a problem i believe (i plan on changing the belt soon as well as the pulley just gotta come up with the cash). at this point that's all i got haven't had much time to look into it. please and thank you if you have any suggestions or anything like this occur to you.

 

I bet you have codes, but BMW/Mini specific. A generic reader will not see those codes.

 

My code reader is sopposed to read bmw/mini specific codes. i do have the specific bmw software but havent taken the time to install it onto my computer so ill do that over the weekend. Even if it was a bmw specific code wouldnt the CEL still come on?
