It might be my scan tool but I haven't had issues before.

I am not getting the CEL but I do get the limp mode light on the tach. When I pull the codes all it says is "00, 01, 2C, 57 No found!"

I can clear the code and the car is fine for a while but the same thing happens eventually; sometime multiple trips or sometimes only a few miles.

This is a 2011 R56 - zero upgrades and all stock.

I am not really sure where to look and would love any suggestions.

 

take it to your local auto store, maybe a different scan tool will give better info.

 

 

To access the BMW specific codes, (codes stored after a "half power" light on the tach) you'll need something like Carly or Bimmercode to retrieve them.

Never used it but I do use the Bimmercode app on my car. Works great and customer support is awesome.

Carly app pre-sales support was awful and slow for me so I never tried them.

Some helpful Indy shops will read codes for free, most probably won't.

 

2C57 is low boost. Check vacuum lines and diverter.
