Need help with a problem.

So I am new to Mini's... With that said, mine is having a problem. I recently changed the radiator hoses with Mishimoto hoses, changed the radiator to aluminum, and changed thethe thermos. All went well. I put in new approved coolant for our cars, along with redline water wetter. Everything seemed fine. Temp was staying down, heat was working, fans kicked on and we're working and everything seemed great. Then about 10-15 minutes later, it just started making this good awful noise, almost sounded like that fan was hitting something (but it wasn't). Then the temp gauge quickly went up so I shut it down. I have s video of the sound but they won't let me put it up.

Can anyone help???

Did you completely bleed the system? From BOTH bleed screws?

Has your problem been resolved? If so, how?

I can’t imagine you’ve been driving your MINI with it overheating and/or something banging around under the bonnet for a week now.

Please do tell.

The purpose of the forum is to document issues, offer diagnostic advice, work through the issue and post the outcome, whether it’s failure or success for the benefit of the OP as well as subsequent users who come across a similar issue.

Might check to make sure the rad wires are clear of the fan. I remember having to zip tie mine back when I change my fan. Also when over heating is your fan still on? Might turn a/c that will cause the fans to spin.

It ended up not being fully bled. Once I properly bled it (which I learned how to do here, it ran perfect and temp has stayed slightly below half. Oh and the hest works now. Thank you and I apologized for not responding earlier, I'm new here and learning how to use this site.
