Okay, so I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S with 150k miles. There is no check engine light, I have only run 91 octane in the car EVER. I am having an issue. About every 200-600 miles the car will be idling at a stop light and randomly die. The car start right back up after with no problem. I can’t figure out what I’m the would would be causing this. It isn’t throwing codes.

ANY AND ALL HELP would be appreciated.

 

Fuel filter maybe partly clogged ??????

what are the rpms when at idle when its fine and doesn't stall ?

 

Do you ever lose power while driving? I get that one every so often. It just dies and then restarts in a few seconds. I dont get a check engine either, and the motor is still under factory warranty, I have not bother to take it into MINI as its near impossible to reproduce.
