engine dies randomly at low speeds?

hello all,
i have a 2006 Cooper S and tonight, i was pulling into my parking space at a very low speed and the car died. i had to shut it off and start it back up. this has happened at various times over the years. one time, i was slowly moving up to turn left and the car died. was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or might know what it could be? it has probably happened about a dozen times since 2006.

any ideas?

Some drivers on gen1 cars have seen stalls right after starts.....
When warmed up, it makes me wonder. Any codes?
Regular mataince has been done right....
Might want to look at the coil pack....the connectors the spark plugs wires connect too do tend to corrode bit on the oem pack (they are nickel plated iron/steel, as opposed to brass like on most aftermarket/replacement units).

thanks for the input. i will look at the plugs and the pack to make sure. yes, regular maintenance has been done on it and is well kept. no codes or service light. i might need to upgrade to better coil pack and plugs, if that is the case.

2 times a year...(12 times since 2006) does not sound too bad...a bit of sandpaper and then plug it back in....then monitor....things tend to get simpler to trouble shoot when it gets more common...but since it is so infrequent could be a million things....heck I would not spend much $$ or time worrying about it.
