Rear brake issues

Has anyone else had problems with their rear brakes?
I changed my pads awhile back. After a few mths I was starting to get some squealing so I went to look at them again. I had alot of brake dust buildup on my right side while the left was pretty damn clean. That righ there seemed pretty damn strange to me. When I went to change pads I did passenger and they were pretty worn down and needed changing. However the drivers side had a whole lot of pad left.
wondering if anyone else has had this problem before?
I havent checked the handbrake cable and not quite sure what to look for on that. And the slide pins are new when I put them on.

Any ideas on where to start?

You did lube the glide bolts? I also make sure the slot that the tabs move in is smooth and apply some copper antiseize.

I had what you describe happen on my 2006 MCS. One side of the parking brake cable was stuck and holding the brake on that wheel. It was obvious when I lifted the rear of the car, with the parking brake off, one wheel spun freely and the other didn't. Using a screw driver as a lever I was able to get the brake off. What happened was the return spring couldn't overcome whatever gunk/rust was holding the parking brake cable in place.

I ended up lubing the cable and it works now. I don't use the parking brake when the car is going to be sitting for a few days as I am sure it will seize up again. I make sure to use it when I can for relatively short periods of parking just to keep it moving. The real solution is to replace both cables. They are just too old now.
