2006 R53 // AC Drier Replacement
Hi All,
Recently had an AC check up and got the recommendation the change the expansion valve and ac drier. There was pressure on the low side but none on the hi side.
The expansion valve job seems pretty straightforward, but I have not been able to find any details online for the drier replacement. Its hitting 100s already in Austin, and I'm getting afraid !
I will have the refrigerant evac'd at a shop, replace the parts, and then have it filled back up.
Any tips or tricks?
Do I need to fill the drier back up with PAG oil?
Cheers!

The AC drier is part of the aluminum condenser in front of the radiator.....you cannot service the drier separately .......and yes, you will need to add AC oil to the unit if you put a new one in......as to how much oil to add, that info you will need to find out from either the dealer or an AC shop......
Be careful, too much oil will cause problems with your compressor
