R53 2006 JCW - Stoptech brakes BBK - Racing Brake replacement rotors

Hi,

I want to purchase new rotors for my BBK (only the rotors, not the hat) and found that racingbrake.com offers a 330x28mm rotor replacement which is much less expensive than the Stoptech rotor replacements. RB advertises it "should" fit my BBK which uses 328x28mm rotors. Has anyone ever tried the Racing Brake rotors on the Stoptech BBK for the Mini? Do they fit? Any issues?

Thanks,

Alex

I'd be careful that you don't become the guinea pig for this. If you're willing to spend the time/money disassembling your brakes, great, but be sure that you can return them if they don't fit. Remember, it's not only diameter and thickness, it's also bolt pattern and diameter that has to be right.

Thanks for your reply.

Actually, from what I understand, the rotors will fit on the Stoptech hat, everything is the same but the diameter of the rotor is 2mm more.

I wouldn't mind swapping the 2 piece rotor for a 1 piece slotted or cross drilled rotor. I don't race the car and 2 piece rotors just seem more prone to rust and problems (winters are long in Montreal...). Problem is, I don't know what 1 piece rotor will fir the Stoptech calipers...
