No power if bogged when leaving from a stop

Sometimes when I'm driving while not in Sport mode, I'll inadvertently bog the engine leaving a light or stop sign and then it has no power until it's been revved past 4 or 5 grand a couple of times. Is this a wastegate actuator issue or what?

OK, information is needed. What year, what model, S or justa and maybe a few other tidbits of information would certainly help. As an example, you can see by my sig what I'm driving. On hot days, sitting at an intersection a condition called heat soak develops which causes a momentary loss of power. Knowing what you are driving could either confirm that that is the problem or that the problem lies somewhere else.

Further info

Sorry about that, thought all that info was already in my sig line. It's a 2009 Clubman S. It doesn't seem to matter how long I sit at a stop, just how badly I bog it leaving the stop.

I don't see a sig line. Anyway, the '09 S doesn't have the SC, so heat soak isn't the issue. We'll need to wait for a better informed Gen 2 driver to chime in.

How is your boost normally? Could be vac lines. I would check those first to see condition and if they are all hooked up.

Boost is fine under all other circumstances, no indication of vacuum leak either. Smooth idle, good power both under Sport mode and not. No codes posted either.

Are the vac lines swollen or oily? Are they completely hooked up to the vac reservoir? I had a similar condition (not all the time though) and my vac lines were shot.

All vacuum lines are fine, no oil, none disconnected.
