Need some help...

Pulled on hood release and nothing.

I have pulled the trim and can see the wire just fine the metal release seems bent and that the white grommet type thing comes straight through.

Suggestions?

 

try "CPR" the hood first. get the wire out of the latch (it might break from excessive force). then use pliers to pull on the wire while it is still retained by the "c" holder. if that doesnt work, try it again but this time have some CPR the hood while you pull on the wire.
