There are many clutch threads on NAM. I've read (or at least skimmed) most of them. I don't recall anyone being able to successfully adjust the engagement point of the clutch pedal. You may just have to learn to drive it the way it is. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a better answer for you. Good luck.
That sounds a bit high compared to my Minis. The clutch will start to slip when it needs to be replaced. Try putting it in one gear to high for the speed you are going then accelerate. If the RPMs go up but the car does not accelerate your clutch is slipping and needs to be replaced.
This was my complaint on the mini whenever I first got it.
Look up burger tuning’s clutch stop or make one yourself. I currently use two shins and it’s perfect for me.
The dual mass flywheel doesn’t help with the engagement either. I switched to a single mass and it’s perfect.
For me, unfortunately, the clutch started slipping shortly after I posted here. :-(
So I'll be curious to see if the engagement point is back to "normal" after I change the clutch.

Hows the noise with the single mass? I'm about to hit 60k so I'm starting to look at having to replace my clutch in the near future and want to go single.
