Is it possible to adjust the clutch tension on the second gen manual?

My 2013 clutch tension is so strong that my foot and leg get really tired driving around town (and I am both a runner and body builder).

The old mechanical clutch had a tension nut underneath that was attached to the spring. Is there anything like this now or should I accept the fact that my left leg will be twice as muscular as my right?

 

There is no adjustment. Its an hydraulic clutch. Chances are that if its real hard to activate, something is wrong with your clutch/pressure plate.

You can pick a STIFFER clutch kit that is harder to push when you install a new clutch kit....most high performance kits are stiffer....

 

I always thought the mini had one of the softer clutches of all the performance cars I've driven. As others have said there is no adjustment. The pedal force required (in a car with a stock clutch hydraulic/pedal setup) is dependent on the pressure plate straps. It's possible your pedal could be binding on something.

 

weird - agreed, one of the softest clutches i've ever felt... my evo on the other hand, very very stiff. twin disk, stalled about 10 times in a row when the clutch was brand new lol
