seat cushion cover stretched?

i have noticed almost every first gen mini with leather that i see has a sloppy looking lower seat cushion cover. looks like the center panel stretches so it doesn't fit well. showed mine to two upholstery shops and one said should add some foam to the cushion and other said i should replace the center panel.

wondered if others have noticed this problem and what solution they came up with if addressed

thanks

You talking the pleated leather or the smooth leatherette?

Whenever I see for sale pics of cars with those seats I always wonder why people aren't re-padding the seats. Sure looks like the material has broken down so foam would be the first choice for me.

W to W not sure what seats i have but the seats have three panels in the bottom (so i guess it cold have three big pleats) plus the side bolsters and my build sheet says panther/black leather $1,300 or are you calling that smooth leatherette?

MINI the MOO interesting note is that i recently had the pass seat occ sensor replace that includes new pass seat bottom foam cusion and the bottom cover still has the same fit as before the foam replacement. can't say it improved it any so i am leaning to thinking it is more of leather stretched issue rather than broken down foam
