Need some guidance and tips

Hello everyone, I am new to the forums.
I bought an '07 Cooper S turbo. Car had run great up until I took a trip from SoCal to El Paso, Tx. It started with an oil leak that at first glance thought it was a turbo oil line leak but as I tore it down I found that it was actually leaking from the heat exchanger. I replaced the gaskets and buttoned it all up and it ran fantastic for about 20 miles or so.

The following day the car overheated on the fwy on the way home, it first flashed a yellow/orange temp light, then red, and immediately followed by the engine light. It stumbled home and have not been able to start it since. I checked the oil and water and found it was really low on water/coolant, I filled and tried to start again. It turns over and sounds like its about to start but it does not and the engine light comes on. I noticed its leaking from possibly the water pump (pic attached). It did not have any other leaks other than the oil previously and had none at all after the repair.

I'm also having issues with the dipstick not able to pull it out or put it back in smoothly, it binded up so bad its now bent and wont go back in.
A friend of mine came over and hooked it up to his lap top and it spit out the following codes
P0118
P0327
P0328
P013a
P3020
we cleared and attempted to retry with the same results.

So I am assuming I need to replace the water pump before I proceed. What else should I look for and try and is the water pump something I can do from home? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Maybe 2 miles when I noticed it, but it would go off and on then on exiting it stayed on and about half way down the block the engine light came on and ran rough. The exit is about a block from my house.

None, but it does have a wierd cranking sound since trying to restart it. Nothing before.

Anyone else have any ideas on where to begin? Are all these repairs for the average DIY or should iI farm it out?

Timing chain replacement requires special cam block kit avail from some of our vendors here. But as with most repairs like this, if in doubt job it out.
You may even find a dealer willing to negotiate a "good will"
Repair. Never hurts to ask....
