Just got my Mini to the dealership......it isn't good

So I have a laundry list of repairs:
Timing chain tensioner - standard, may good faith it

Thermostat housing - gonna repair it using the Bently manual

Brakes - putting them on soon, is there any problem with reusing the rotors if they aren't warped?

Electrical issues - so the following items don't work: windows, high beams, rear light, and blinkers. Dealership said it was an electrical modular on the drivers side? Is this an easy job for a DIYer? Also, they said it has to be reprogrammed at the dealership, is there any truth to this? Right now, I am at a $4000 bill and need to bring that down a bit. Thanks in advance for the help.

Yea thanks. I have the Bently Manual and it is worth its weight in gold. As far as the module, where should I have it tested? The dealership said it was bad but said the area was completely dry (my car has never been rained in). Like I said, It worked fine even yesterday, but I left my car out in the cold last night (instead of the garage). When I started my vehicle, it was very slow to turn and eventually started, but that is when I noticed the issue. At first, I thought was like a daed battery reset, but that didn't work. Thanks so much for the links and response, I will definitely be buying at ECS vs the stealership.

Check the battery and the alternator, make sure they are fine, low drain on the voltage causes all kind of problems.

The footwell module check the pins connection for moisture, then open it up and have a look inside. If bad and still have to replace then I can get you the part number ~ $330.00 for a new one.

You are welcome.

Looks like you may owe ECSTuning a few grand for all of the money they just saved you. Or at least a cold beverage.

The dealership just replaced the footwell module in our '12 MCS.
It was causing the interior lights not to work and killed a cell in the battery.
