3 cracked radiators in 2yrs even full alluminum

Please help. Sorry mods if this is the wrong section.

I have a serious problem with my r53. It has 157k miles on her.after purchasing the car 2yrs ago I noticed a small crack in the plastic end cap of the factory radiator. I replaced it and the cap assuming that it was just old. Replaced it with a full aluminum mitsimoto to. Which has cracked a yr later. figured it was defective so I bought cheapo while I wait for the lifetime warranted mitsi to return. The cheap one has yet again cracked in the same place so I can only assume i have another issue on my hands that needs addressing. Any information would be great.

Thanks,
Bsadd

We've had better luck with the CSF radiator which is all aluminum and works great.

Where is it cracking? I'm only on my second radiator, first one cracked at the flange where the upper hose elbo attaches to the top of the plastic side tank.

There are cracking in the center of the core also in that top section of the radiator on the passenger side. Only think I could think of is a set of bushings or engine mounts? Does this seem plausible to anyone?

Possibly too much flexing in the bonnet? The infamous liquid filed mount is leaking

I was wondering if it were motor mounts, but didn't want to send you on a wild goose chase.

Also make sure the install is correct, that the engine is not touching the radiator.

Other than that I don't know.

I'm about to pull my MFE out to replace an altranator, so I'll pay attention to how the radiator fits in

The radiator isnt touching the engine. I checked the radiator upper and lower necks all clear. Is it a possibility that the coolant is causing the problems? Since I dont use the official bmw coolant?

I can't imagine that coolant is causing any problem. Also, after looking closely, there's really only one way to install it. Earlier I wondered if it would be possible for a guy to accidentally put it on the 'inside' of the MFE's plastic frame, and thus have it running into the engine. Not likely, and as I'm sure you know it fits in from the outside. -So scratch what I said before about installing it incorrectly. Also, BTW, I have power flex motor and transmission mounts,.. Very little if any engine rocking under torque.

Can you tell me how the warranty process works? My Mishimoto is only a few months old, and it leaks! I had suspected an old hose leaking, but tonight I put in my new alternator, so I looked closely for leaks while I had the MFE extended.

I pressurized the system, and I see coolant seeping out between the fins right next to the side tank of the radiators left (driver) side.

Obviously I just need to call them and file a warranty claim, but I would appreciate if there's any insight that can be shared about warranty claims with Mishimoto.
