03 r53.

i recently installed under tower plates and craven defenders on top.

drove a bit. retorqued the top nuts. etc etc.

accidently snapped one.

attempting to replace the stud. jacked up. wheel off. removed other 2 remaining top nuts. strut wont budge.

ive spent 3 hours hammering down on the rotor. prybars on the top side. wiggling jiggling every fkn thing.

loosened sway bar link. loosened the other bolt in the middle of the strut (pinch bolt?).

nothing. this is insane. 3 top nuts come off, assembly should drop. anybody know why this would happen?

 

problem solved. apparently the whole front end has to be off the ground.
