No, not that i knwo of, I think you are thinking about the trunk battery area on the R53 2005+? My taillights areas have no drain on my R52.

Two words. Fluid Film.

If you have any rust you can 'convert' it and paint it if you like...then apply FF. Or just apply FF and not worry much.

I though there was a hole in early R53s in the hatch channel that allowed water to get inside the body somehow that was later plugged. I read it quite a while back, so maybe there are cobwebs in the way.

How does water collect in the tail light? Is it just on the exterior where the tail light foam touches the body? Not from inside? Maybe I'm thinking of another weak point..

I have a 02/2006 build and I took advantage of the extended perforation warranty in December (I sort of wish I didn't based on the result). I had rust and bubbling on both sides.

I mention that because I don't think there's any draining mechanism on my build. Water pooled up around the tail light before the fix and it is pooling up after the quarter panels were replaced.

If anyone has suggestions regarding preventing water from pooling in the tail light socket I'd be interested.
