Does everyone's clock show 00:xx for the midnight hour when in 12 hour mode? Freaked me out the first time I drove after midnight.

 

that's the european time mode, you can have your dealer reprogram that for you if you don't like it. my car came like that at first, and then it started to annoy me, so i asked about it and voila'!

Thought it might be the European setting. Think I will have them change it next time I am in for service.

If it's in 24hr time you can hold both buttons for a few seconds to set the clock to 12hr mode.

Just a shot in the dark, I haven't been in my car at midnight yet.

Nope, not 24h mode. It shows 04:45 PM (actually shows PM and AM on the clock). Definitely 12h mode. Just shows 00:34 for 12:34 AM.

 

Actually, for the first hour past midnight, the MINI senses if the driver has been drinking. If so, it displays the driver's blood alcohol concentration

 

That's why it kept counting up! I got real scared when it hit 1.0.

The MINIs show 00 for midnight in "normal" mode. It doesn't have to be military time.

 

Sadly, I've only seen this display once or twice. I have no life.
