Clattering, tapping, ticking noise?

After searching all morning I can't seem to pinpoint the sound my 2002 MCS is making. To ME it sounds like loud injectors. The noise is loud upon start up, can be heard with the hood closed. Gets quieter after warming up but today I noticed it while driving past buildings during acceleration.

I don't think its related to the clutch, supercharger/water pump, or crank pulley. All three have recently been replaced. Car has perfect compression and runs great. So the new sound is throwing me off.

It started about the same time I started having start up issues, the stalling after start up.. then starts up fine on second try. So curious if it could be fuel related? Car has about 136k miles. Bought at 100k, not sure exactly what has been replaced or not.

I'll try to get a video up, until then any educated input?

No I don't believe it sounds like that. When I'm off work I'll have to verify if it goes away with the clutch depressed but I don't think that's the case.

I'll try to get a video of it up tonight. To me it sounds like a noisy injector or lifter noise. I need to also check my oil. New dipstick should be here today to check that.

Timing chain tensionner? They do make noise that go away when warm (mostly).

Well I feel slightly stupid. Went to see a mechanic buddy and its an exhaust leak. Tightened down the header and most of it went away, sounds like I need to tighten down by the collector and flange to mid pipe. Might have a possible crack. Going to have an exhaust shop pin point it. I have a tendency to expect the worse.
